Alexandra Drake, MPH, joined the ACR-NHPI team in May 2023 as a Senior Health Services Data Analyst. She brings with her over 5 years of experience in population health analytics and visualization development.
After receiving her undergraduate degree in Biology from SUNY Fredonia, Alexandra worked as a Basic EMT and nurse assistant in rural WNY for 1 year before attending the University of Buffalo for her master’s in public health. While completing her degree she worked as a research apprentice at Roswell Park Cancer Institute with a focus on Ovarian Cancer. After obtaining her MPH with a concentration in Epidemiology she joined Highmark of Western and Northeastern NY as a Medicare Star Analyst. During this time, she developed quality performance monitoring and reporting to support all efforts related to Medicare Star as well as managing relationships between payers and providers in the region. This role prepared her for her next one as a Senior Clinical and Population Health Analyst for Highmark Health. During her time there she helped with the identification and analysis of populations with chronic conditions to support the development of new solutions for members to manage their health.
Alexandra is always exploring new and interesting ways to analyze / visualize her work but in her spare time you'll find her at fitness classes with her 4-year-old pitbull, exploring hiking trails around WNY, and spending time with friends and family.
